Strictly Come Dancing

Since 2006, Kele has been the Argentine Tango consultant for BBC1’s hit series Strictly Come Dancing. She and her Kensington Dance Studio business partner Ralf Schiller choreograph and teach the Argentine Tangos for the semi-final, as well as assisting in choosing music. Over the years Kele and Ralf have taught cricketer Mark Ramprakash, rugby World Cup champion Matt Dawson, singers Rachel Stevens, Alesha Dixon and Emma Bunton, actors Ricky Whittle, Ali Bastian, Tom Chambers and Matt di Angelo, and tv/radio presenters Gethin Jones and Lisa Snowdon.

Joe's Palace

Writer/director Stephen Poliakoff was inspired to write a Dance Al Fresco scene for his BBC1 drama Joe’s Palace after having witnessed one of Kele’s Al Fresco events in Regent’s Park. Kele choreographed and taught actors Rupert Penry-Jones, Kelly Reilly and Rebecca Hall, and oversaw the recreation of the Dance Al Fresco event for the filming.

No Way Out

Director Luke Kernaghan took inspiration from Argentina’s Dirty War of the 1970s to create his version of Jean-Paul Sartre’s existential masterpiece No Way Out (Huis Clos). Kele choreographed seven Argentine Tangos for this production, performed in 2009 at London’s Southwark Playhouse.

Latin Fever

When Darren Bennet & Lilia Kopylova created their own Latin/Ballroom show for a five-week run at Sader’s Wells’ Peacock Theatre, they asked Kele and Ralf to co-choreograph the Argentine Tango for themselves and their company of eight dancers. Darren & Lilia now tour Latin Fever around the country in between seasons of Strictly Come Dancing.

Kele choreographed television advertisement "AA 'Strictly' Car Insurance", and Kele and Ralf choreographed "It Ain't Necessarily So" for Darren Bennett & Lilia Kopylova's performance in English National Ballet's Strictly Gershwin (Royal Albert Hall).
